Welcome to The Classics Bookshop

We specialise in second hand and antiquarian Latin and Greek Classics. Our stock includes Latin and Greek language, literature, philosophy, philology, history, archaeology and art. We also have some books on papyrology and epigraphy.

In addition to our online catalogue we have an extensive range of books in our shop at 23 Sheep Street, Burford, Oxfordshire OX18 4LS. Our shop is open all day Wednesday (10.00am – 1.00pm, 2.00pm - 5.00pm) and Saturday mornings, (10.00am - 1.00pm), other times are by appointment only. We are always very pleased to welcome visitors to our premises in the beautiful Cotswold town of Burford.

We are keen to buy Classics books of all types, either individual items or collections.
